Just because vinyl siding lasts virtually forever doesn’t mean that it should. Home exterior trends come and go just like any other design feature, and the type of vinyl you chose back in 1987 for your split level, cape cod or ranch may not be quite up to par now in 2013.
Replacing old siding is a great way to add visual appeal to your house, and will also significantly increase the value of your home. The other great news? The style options for this material have greatly improved since the 80’s. We’re talking realistic wood grains, vertical patterned panels and look-a-like shake shingles. The options are nearly endless, and are sure to match your modern taste.
One of our own more dramatic siding renovation “Before and Afters” takes us back to 2008, in partnership with the Bedford County charitable program Christmas in April. This program gives needy area families the chance to have their homes transformed and updated, eliminating the need for costly and labor intensive upkeep.
Our team donated the materials and labor to this particular project, turning the once dilapidated and crumbling structure into a home the family could be proud of. It is so easy in this case, though extreme, to see the difference new siding can make on an older home – making it crisp, clean and welcoming.
